Human Plight

Amidst the forest deep, I squander and ponder like a sheep,

Huge trees and weeds, I wonder where will humans reach?

  

Relentless seeds of greed, yonder I see,

Envy has seeped, distorted humanity is !

Into the heart it slowly creeps, no one takes a heed,

So I thought I go into the forest deep, spotting the need,

 Not enough is left to feed, impoverishment reeks,

Ardent philanthropists are fast asleep,

Screaming subsidy peevish hunger pleads,

Satiated have empathy, sympathy we do not need,

I wonder when kindness will reap,

Rich are floating in bliss, roaring souls appeal,

Only the peasantry deceived, will the anguish cease,

When will the humanity speak to take a leap,

Here I remember the deeds,Values our parents peaked, 

Alas! money begets money,The Poor is born to grieve.

LIFE AT STANDSTILL

From morning till night my life swoops down,
Tiresome it might seem, in love I am in,
I love the four walls of my room,
They see me growing everyday.

I love the ceiling over my head,
It keeps telling me that God is overhead,
I have worked day and night,
Boredom I do not dislike.

Dreams are not so high,
The tides make them die,
And here I wait for no one,
As there is stillness in the sky.

Cocoon is warm inside,
Hardly I go outside,
From visitors I try to hide,
In my bed I sleep tight.

For growth we need to go soul inside,
Not this daunting World outside,
How do I tell this world?
I am not that girl they saw a few times.

The Game of Words

The Game of words Contemporary humans play,
This is  what I see everyday.
A World of broken promises and dreams,
I see them in the garden of life everyday.

Blame game is easy always,
Difficult the fair way is,
Sweet the forbidden fruit is,
That's why sinning the World is.

Not just us poets and writers do this,
The people young and old all do it,
Son and daughter lying to the parents,
Spouses lying to the love forever,
Couples modifying the truth.

Marketing strategies is a dignified word for it,
Socially used by every section of society it is,
That is the reason why humanity is lost,
We spend all day in playing this game.

We are tired but we can't quit,
For noone wants to lose the game,
How can we have so many winners,
That's the reason why despair conspires.

Falsehood is what we carry in our hearts,
Not that the mind gives this spark,
Greed is what consumes our love,
Responsibilities just break us apart.

BIZARRE RELATIONSHIPS

You I thought could be the man of my dreams,

You turned out to be the same deception,

This is the reason why I don't comply,

This is the reason why I don't put down my armour.

No feeling is left inside of me,

How should I open my heart and make you see,

Trust once broken was broken forever,

Heart once broken was broken forever.

No tears, no regrets and no expectations,

That's the way I am and will remain,

No matter what you feel today,

It's better to be beside the truth than falsity.

Follies I don't count, feelings I count,

Truth I count,transparency I count,

Alas I din't find it again,

In a human being I must say.
